2010 SCJAS Winter Workshop

A Celebration of Science Research

South Carolina State Museum, Columbia, SC

Co-sponsored by the South Carolina State Museum, the South Carolina Junior Academy of Science (SCJAS), the South Carolina Academy of Science (SCAS), and the South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA). Guest speakers include Dr. Vogt speaking on "Emerging Careers in Nanotechnology", and Dr. Jur, with a keynote on "Why do Sytems Fail? The Ultimate Technical Challenge. The State Museum's special exhibits will also be on display, including "Dinosaurs: Mesozoic Monsters", "Deadly Medicine: Creating the Master Race", and presentations by the Savanah River National Laboratory, DHEC, The US Geological Service and more. SCAS Annual Meeting 2010

Superbugs in Society

Join the Academy of Science for the 2010 Annual Meeting to be held at the brand new Collegeo of Charleston Science Center. This year's theme of "Superbugs in Society" will have a keynote focus on Epidemiology and Virology, elucidating the modern health concerns of our time.
